عملگرهای سفارشی با متامتودها

متامتودها اجازه می‌دهند جدول‌هایتان با عملگرهای لوا (+، ==، <، ...) کار کنند!

__tostring — نمایش رشته‌ای

وقتی print یا tostring روی جدول صدا زده شود:

print(point)   -- نقطه(10, 20)
print(tostring(point))   -- همان

__len — عملگر طول

local box = setmetatable({items = {1, 2, 3}}, {
__len = function(b)
return #b.items
end
})

print(#box)   -- 3

__call — جدول مثل تابع!

local counter = setmetatable({count = 0}, {
__call = function(self, increment)
self.count = self.count + (increment or 1)
return self.count
end
})

print(counter())     -- 1
print(counter())     -- 2
print(counter(10))   -- 12
